I must admit that I had mixed emotions reading your book. I mean, no doubt that it is chock full of valuable, powerful and actionable material. It’s a great book!
That’s what I had mixed emotions about. I was feeling jealous that someone could get a hold of this book for nothing, or almost nothing, and learn SOOOO much about running a great school! I mean, I’ve been studying with you in this mastermind for years to learn that stuff! (And I’m still working on mastering most of of it!)
But, seriously, it is a wealth of information for the serious school owner, and all professional martial arts instructors. It’s an easy read, with deceptively short chapters that are packed with powerful information. This book will be our new instructor training manual and a key tool for
use in training our instructors and future instructors in our Certified Instructor Training (CIT) Programs. For me it’s a welcome reminder of things I know but need to do more consistently, as well as a treasure trough of “how did I miss that?”

Stephen Oliver’s “Six Simple Steps to Add 100 New Students to your School” is an amazingly powerful resource not just for martial arts school owners. With some small adjustments to speak to your specific industry, Master Oliver’s system can more broadly be applied to schools catering to any segment of the children’s market. The marketing, advertising, and pricing advice provided here will help any school owner grow their empire and ultimately dominate the local market. We tend to get so focused on the latest technological advances, the latest shiny object, especially in marketing that we end up losing track of basic, eternally true principles of how to position our schools and how to communicate with our marketplace. Trying to navigate the digital world and not fall behind, it’s easy to forget that schools are first and foremost people businesses. As such their success depends on meaningful personal interactions between “real people.” That’s why Master Oliver’s Live Event Marketing (Chapter 3), Community Outreach (Chapter 4), and Guerilla Marketing (Chapter 5) have so much to offer to school owners. But this is not to say that you won’t find good advice in this book on digital marketing! I met Grand Master Oliver almost 20 years ago. The stories of his schools success seem unbelievable. I already had 300 students at the time thinking “ what’s he going teach me”

I am so glad I did. I have not had to change what I teach but instead improved how I teach. I have the best caliber of students and lease amount of headaches.
