He was recapping what two member schools had just reported, live, on the Tuesday Small School Accelerator call, to set up a lesson on what happens to those appointments next.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our <a href=\"https:\/\/martialartswealth.com\/go\/category\/case-studies\/\">Case Studies<\/a> are researched, narrative write-ups of a school&#8217;s growth over months or years. <strong>Unscripted Real Results<\/strong> is different: it&#8217;s a running record of what actually gets said, by actual members, in the middle of an actual coaching call. In this entry members are identified by their situation rather than by name. Here&#8217;s what came out of the October 7, 2026 call.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meeting Snapshot<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Meeting:<\/strong> Small School Accelerator \/ Marketing Meeting<\/li>\n<li><strong>Date:<\/strong> Tuesday, October 7, 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Format:<\/strong> Live Zoom coaching call, approximately 78 minutes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Coaches on the call:<\/strong> Stephen Oliver and Bob Dunne<\/li>\n<li><strong>Topic:<\/strong> Takeaways from the live members&#8217; meeting and a visit to a Mile High Karate school, October event marketing, lead-to-enrollment ratios, phone follow-up, after-school programs and tuition billing<\/li>\n<li><strong>Members quoted in this entry:<\/strong> five member school owners, identified by situation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Headline Result: 100+ Appointments From Single Fall Events<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two member schools reported their weekend numbers from Halloween and harvest events. Stephen put them in front of the group as the standard:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;Somewhere between 104 and 116 appointments this weekend from a harvest event or a Halloween event&#8230; I think they said they made 109 appointments.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><cite>\u2014 Stephen Oliver, on two member schools&#8217; weekend events<\/cite><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then he laid out what those appointments should turn into:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;100 equals 50 equals 25 is the expected ratio, and if any of those numbers are less, it&#8217;s problematic. If they&#8217;re more, great.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><cite>\u2014 Stephen Oliver<\/cite><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is 100 appointments, 50 to 60 first lessons and about 25 enrollments. A show rate under 50%, he said, means the follow-up stack has a hole in it: email, text, a live human being, direct mail and voicemail drops all need to be running.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional Results &amp; Implementation Evidence<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Newer Member &#8212; Raised Tuition to $397 the Week He Got Home<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A member who is new to running a school had attended the live members&#8217; meeting and visited a Mile High Karate school. In the elevator he asked one of the group&#8217;s most successful operators for a single tip:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;He said, raise your prices sooner than later. He says he regrets that he did not raise his prices sooner. So when I came back, I immediately raised the prices up to the $397 amount for the memberships.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><cite>\u2014 Member school owner<\/cite><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it is already producing enrollments at the new rate:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve got new enrollments, a couple of them just yesterday, another one probably today, that are going to be at the new rate, the higher rate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><cite>\u2014 Member school owner<\/cite><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Member Running Booths Solo &#8212; 49 Leads in a Day<\/h3>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;I had 49 leads Saturday. I had eight appointments yesterday. My wife is still calling everybody to make the rest of their appointments.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><cite>\u2014 Member school owner<\/cite><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He had booked appointments on the spot at the event. Stephen&#8217;s coaching on the next step: get the school&#8217;s contact card into each parent&#8217;s phone at the booth, so the confirmation calls are recognized instead of screened.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Member Using AI to Find Events &#8212; About 45 Between Now and January 1<\/h3>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve got about 45 events I&#8217;ve got to choose from between now and January 1st.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><cite>\u2014 Member school owner, after running the AI event search taught on the calls<\/cite><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Florida Member &#8212; Three-Quarters of Parents Showed Up<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A member relaunching an after-school program after a long break reported on the first session:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;I was told only one parent was coming, and then all of a sudden we had probably three-quarters of the parents show up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><cite>\u2014 Member school owner<\/cite><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She followed up the same day, inviting every family to class that evening with a free uniform and three extra stripes toward the program&#8217;s grand champion trophy, and is now in talks to add three more schools. Stephen&#8217;s coaching: treat the first time each family walks into the school as their first intro lesson, and hold the graduation on a Wednesday or Thursday rather than a Friday.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Member Rebuilding a Kids Program &#8212; Price First<\/h3>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;Learned a lot about how we need to change around our kids program, starting with the price, then the sales presentation, the intro lesson, all that stuff&#8230; to make our kids program a lot better and a lot more profitable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><cite>\u2014 Member school owner<\/cite><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Members Saw Behind the Scenes<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The newer member described what surprised him most on his visit to a Mile High Karate school:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;The number one thing that I was surprised at was the blue jackets&#8230; 90% of all the students chose not the Black Belt Masters program, but to get the best for themselves.
