Jason Purcell didn&#8217;t wait to be asked for a win \u2014 he volunteered one, matter-of-factly, the way you&#8217;d mention how your weekend went:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;We just did a booth event over the weekend. That&#8217;s the difference between a tactic discussed in theory and a tactic a member has actually institutionalized.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vanessa Scahill \u2014 years of proactive community-event execution<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On her school&#8217;s participation in the local Chamber of Commerce&#8217;s running events:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve been doing them for years.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><cite>\u2014 Vanessa Scahill, TM Martial Arts<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More telling than the longevity: when a brand-new &#8220;Boo Bash&#8221; event came up that wasn&#8217;t even offering vendor booths, Vanessa didn&#8217;t wait for an invitation \u2014 she reached out and asked to be included, mid-call, live in front of the group.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Krista Wells, Mercer Island Martial Arts \u2014 on retention<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Krista runs a substantial local marketing operation \u2014 PTA relationships, school fairs, PE Teacher for the Day, a Girl Scout self-defense workshop, back-to-school events \u2014 and offered this on why she&#8217;s pushing to build out retention events specifically:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a lot of work to get a new student. It&#8217;s a lot less work to keep one.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><cite>\u2014 Krista Wells, Mercer Island Martial Arts<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Krista Wells \u2014 on referral events<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the value of periodic referral\/buddy events, even after time away from running them:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;If you haven&#8217;t done one in a while, they&#8217;re really good for getting buddies in.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><cite>\u2014 Krista Wells, Mercer Island Martial Arts<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She described closing her referral promotions with a full party \u2014 pizza, games, and a prize drawing \u2014 which itself becomes another opportunity for students to bring friends.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Members Teaching Members<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right after Krista described her closing-party structure, Jason said his school would start doing the same thing \u2014 &#8220;from here on out.&#8221; Dr. Moody&#8217;s response captured something worth naming directly:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s right, that&#8217;s why we only get the ideas here, 100%.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><cite>\u2014 Dr. Greg Moody<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MAW Mastery isn&#8217;t Stephen Oliver, Jeff Smith, and Greg Moody lecturing at school owners. It&#8217;s a room of operators who are actually running successful schools, comparing what&#8217;s working right now, and adopting each other&#8217;s proven tactics on the spot. That exchange is the clearest evidence of it from this call.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where the Systems Come From<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two moments on this call trace specific, still-in-use tactics back to their source.
