A Two-Way Decision, Not a Sales Pitch
This isn’t a scripted pitch meeting. It’s a direct working conversation with Grand Master Oliver to look at your school’s numbers and your goals, and to make a real decision — together — about whether Martial Arts Wealth Mastery is the right fit.
“We’ll be making a decision next time whether this is the best path forward for you.”
If your spouse or a business partner is involved in decisions about your school, include them on this meeting.
What to Have Ready — Building On Your Call With Grand Master Smith
- Bring your numbers current. Grand Master Smith already has your baseline from your first call — have this month’s actual revenue and student count ready so Grand Master Oliver can pick up exactly where that conversation left off, not start over.
- Know the one thing you told Grand Master Smith was your biggest challenge. Grand Master Oliver will want to go straight at it, not rediscover it.
- Bring whoever else decides. A spouse, business partner, or co-owner with a say in this decision should be on the Zoom Meeting with you.
- Block the full hour. This is a working session, not a follow-up chat — treat it like the most important business meeting on your calendar this month.
- Come ready to decide. This call ends in a real answer, not “let me think about it.” If you need more time or more information before you can commit either way, say so up front so Grand Master Oliver can address it directly.
Grand Master Smith Already Saw the Fit. This Call Confirms It.
You wouldn’t be on Grand Master Oliver’s calendar if Grand Master Smith hadn’t already seen real potential in your school. This second call isn’t a second screening — it’s where Grand Master Oliver looks at what Grand Master Smith found, at your numbers, and makes the final call on both sides.
We evaluate to make sure you’re capable of at least a 10-to-1 return on the time and money you’d invest. If the math doesn’t work for your school, Grand Master Oliver will tell you directly.
A proven willingness to “empty your cup” and actually implement proven success systems — not just collect ideas.
We coach real numbers and real problems. That only works with owners who are honest with us, and with themselves.
A willingness to get out of bed in the morning and get to work. We build the systems with you — we don’t run your school for you.
A real willingness to support your fellow members in growing — we have a strict “no-assholes policy.” We create a powerful team and peer support system, not a room of competitors keeping score.

Here’s Exactly What That Looks Like

You can also download the whole thing as a PDF and read it later, or hand it to a spouse or business partner.

A Note From Grand Master Oliver
You’ve mastered the martial arts. This is about mastering the martial arts business — earning your black belt and beyond on the business side of what you already do well.
“Our explicit mission is to help you build a school that is financially rewarding enough to keep you in martial arts for life — and good enough that your students stay long enough to get their black belts.”
We don’t take a school we don’t believe we can return at least ten times what it costs. That is the promise the rest of this page is built on, and it is the first thing Grand Master Oliver will test with you on the call.
So, What Exactly Is Martial Arts Wealth Mastery?
It is ongoing coaching, not a course and not an agency. We build the marketing, enrollment, pricing, retention and staffing systems with you, inside your school, and we teach you and your team to run them — so you are never dependent on us or on an outside vendor.
Think of it the way you think about rank. Nobody earns a black belt from a weekend seminar or a binder. They earn it from a qualified instructor, a structured curriculum, consistent correction, and a room of people training alongside them. The business side works the same way, and nearly every owner who is stuck is stuck because they have been trying to self-teach it.
Your First 90 Days
Every school starts from a different place, so your plan is yours. The structure, though, is the same for everyone:
- Day 1Welcome walk-through with Bob Dunne. Our National Director gets you into the member community, onto the meeting calendar, and oriented in the resource library the same week you join.
- Week 1Full school evaluation. We go through your real numbers — revenue, student count, retention, average student value, lead flow, conversion — and establish the baseline we will measure everything against.
- Weeks 1–2Your development plan. We agree on the two or three things that will move the most money in the shortest time, in the right order, and write them down.
- Weeks 1–6New Member Quick-Start. A structured six-week onboarding that installs the first systems — so you are implementing in week two, not still reading in month three.
- WeeklyLive group masterminds. Small-group, members-only Zoom sessions essentially every week with Grand Master Oliver, Grand Master Smith, Bob Dunne and Sr. Master Greg Moody. Your results get reviewed in the room, and every question gets answered.
- MonthlyOne-on-one with your mentor-coach. Scheduled time every month to look over your shoulder at what moved, what didn’t, and what you are missing.
- Day 30First review. What changed, what stalled, what gets adjusted.
- Day 60Staff and systems. We move from you doing it to your team running it — hiring, training, scripts, accountability.
- Day 90Results review. Measured against the Week 1 baseline. By this point most members are seeing a positive return; if you are not, we find out why and fix it.
Where the Growth Actually Comes From: Four Levers
Almost every school we coach grows by moving the same four numbers. None of them requires you to work more hours.
How long a student stays. The cheapest growth in your school is the student you already have. A few extra months of average tenure changes your revenue more than any ad campaign.
What a student is worth while they are with you — pricing, program structure, upgrades, leadership and black belt club tracks. Most schools are priced well below what their instruction is actually worth.
What it costs you to generate a qualified prospect, and how many of your leads you ever actually reach. Most schools are not short of leads; they are short of follow-up.
The percentage of people who walk in who actually sign up. A trained, scripted, confident enrollment process routinely doubles this without a single extra lead.
Why the levers multiply. They do not add — they compound. A modest improvement in each one at the same time does not give you a modest improvement overall; it gives you a multiple. That is the whole reason a school can go from $16,000 a month to $59,000 a month in six months without adding square footage or class hours.
The Return We Underwrite
We are not shy about this, because it is the basis on which we accept or decline a school.
10:1
The minimum return we expect on your investment. If we do not believe your school can hit it, we will tell you no.
20–30:1
What we are actually aiming for behind the scenes on the schools we take.
30–90
Days in which an owner who implements aggressively should be seeing a positive return, not a year from now.
6–12
Months of consistent implementation behind the bigger jumps — doubling a school or better. There is no single tactic that does it.
Run the math on your own school. Take your current monthly revenue. Add the revenue from a ten percent improvement in retention, a ten percent improvement in average student value, and a ten percent improvement in your enrollment ratio — then compare the total to what coaching costs. That calculation, done honestly with your real numbers, is what the second meeting is for.
| School | Where they started | Where they got to |
|---|---|---|
| Family Black Belt Academy · Jason Purcell | $7,500/month, facing closure | $100,000/month, sustainable |
| Mercer Island Martial Arts · Krista Wells | $700K year | $1.2M year |
| Phas3 Muay Thai · Ben Brown | $16,000/month | $59,000/month in 6 months |
| Grimsby Karate · Riley Fyfe | $6,000/month | ~$50,000/month |
| Girls Who Fight · Gemma Sheehan | $7,000/month | $31,000/month on three days a week |
| Elevate Martial Arts · Heidi Gilbert | Starting over as a single mom | $85,000/month, ~160 students, under two years |
| Niagara Falls Kung Fu Academy · Rob Atalick | $10,000/month | $37,000/month |
Owner-reported figures. Individual results vary and depend on implementation.
The Program Levels
Every member works directly with the same coaching team. The level simply sets the pace and the kind of attention that fits where your school is right now — Grand Master Oliver will confirm the right one with you on the call.
Full Program
For established schools at roughly $500,000 a year and above. The focus moves to multi-location growth, staff and leadership depth, premium program structure, and building an asset that can run without you in it every day.
Apprentice Program
For schools under $500,000 a year that are already running and need the systems installed in the right order — retention and enrollment first, then pricing and marketing, then staff.
Small School Accelerator
For schools under 100 students. The fastest-moving group we run, and the one that produces the most dramatic percentage growth — Riley Fyfe and Gemma Sheehan both started here.
Who Has to Say Yes — On Both Sides
We decline schools every month. These are the five things we are actually evaluating, and they are the same five Grand Master Smith was weighing on your first call:
- The math has to work. We have to believe your school can return at least ten to one. If it cannot, taking your money would be dishonest.
- You have to be willing to empty your cup. Implement proven systems as given, first — then adapt. Collecting ideas and implementing none of them is the single most common way an owner wastes this.
- You have to be honest. With us, and with yourself, about your real numbers. We cannot coach a version of your school that does not exist.
- You have to be willing to work. We build the systems with you. We do not run your school for you, and nobody here will out-work you on your own behalf.
- You have to be a team player. Members help each other grow. We have a strict “no jerks” rule and we enforce it — one bad actor costs a mastermind room more than any single member is worth.
“You’re Right. It Isn’t Working. Yet.”
Most owners who come to us have already tried things. Here is what is usually actually missing underneath the complaint:
Usually the leads are arriving and nobody is calling them back fast enough, often enough, or with anything worth saying. The missing piece is a follow-up system, not a new ad.
The intro class is fine; the enrollment conversation afterward is unscripted and apologetic. The missing piece is a trained enrollment process you and your staff can run the same way every time.
There is nothing structured pulling them to the next milestone. The missing piece is a program and communication track built around tenure, not around this month’s schedule.
Almost always untrue, and almost always a packaging problem rather than a market problem. The missing piece is program structure that makes the value visible before the price is discussed.
For each of those, the work is the same four steps, in this order: Find it (what is actually broken, in the numbers) → Build it (the system, written down) → Teach it (you and your staff, to the point of competence) → Keep it (accountability, so it survives a busy month).
Knowing the Fix Is Easy. Installing It Is the Work.
This is the part a course cannot do for you, and it is most of what the weekly meetings are actually for. A small example — the language your front desk uses:
| Don’t say | Say |
|---|---|
| “It’s $149 a month.” | “It depends on which program fits your son — let’s get him in for a class and then I can tell you exactly.” |
| “Just let me know if you’re interested.” | “I have Tuesday at 5 or Thursday at 6 — which works better?” |
| “We have a trial you can try out.” | “Here’s what the first 30 days looks like, and here’s what he’ll be able to do at the end of it.” |
| “Sorry to hear that — we’ll miss you.” | “Before you decide, let’s talk about what changed — most of the time we can fix it.” |
What waiting another year costs.
30%
The share of students a typical school loses every year that better retention systems would have kept.
Age 11
The age at which most students are lost. Nearly all of them are lost to a gap in program structure, not to a competitor.
20–30%
The revenue most schools leave on the table through pricing and program structure alone.
67%
The share of leads that are never contacted more than once. The money is in the second, third and fourth attempt.
Ten Honest Questions to Ask Yourself Before the Call
Answer these for yourself, not for us. Your answers are what the second meeting is built on.
- Do I actually know my real revenue, student count and retention rate this month — or am I estimating?
- If nothing changes, where is my school in three years?
- Am I being paid what the hours I put in are worth?
- How many of last month’s leads did anyone contact more than once?
- What is my enrollment ratio, and who on my team has ever been trained on it?
- How long does my average student stay, and do I know why the ones who left, left?
- Have I raised my prices in the last two years, and if not, why not?
- Could my school run for two weeks without me in the building?
- Am I willing to be told I am wrong about something I have believed for years?
- Am I willing to do the work, every week, for twelve months — or am I looking for one tactic?

Two Things Owners Ask Before They Say Yes
No — it is the opposite. A McDojo is a school with weak instruction and strong sales. We are after strong instruction with professional systems behind it, so that good teaching reaches more students and keeps them long enough to actually progress. The McDojo Myth → · No McDojos, No Belt Factories →
No. An agency sells you leads and moves on — which is why agency-grown schools so often stall. Three things grow a school: getting more prospects in, enrolling more of them, and keeping them longer. An agency only touches the first. We build all three with you and teach your team to run them. Why Marketing Agencies Fail Your School →
Before Our Second Meeting
Four things to do between now and the call:
- Pull your real numbers. This month’s revenue, current active student count, and roughly how many students you lost in the last twelve months.
- Write down your single biggest constraint. One sentence. The thing that, if it were fixed, would change the most.
- Answer the ten questions above honestly. Especially the last two.
- Get your decision-makers on the call. If a spouse or partner has a say, they should be on the Zoom with you.
What happens in the meeting. Grand Master Oliver will go through your numbers against the four levers, tell you what he would do first and what it would reasonably be worth, confirm which program level fits, and then give you a straight answer on whether we are a fit — including no, if that is the answer. You will leave with a decision either way.
