Your Next Step

You’re All Set — Here’s How to Get the Most Out of Your Call With Grand Master Smith

Congratulations on scheduling your Free School Evaluation. This first call is a thirty-minute growth diagnostic with former World Kickboxing Champion — and multi-million-dollar school operator — Grand Master Jeff Smith, focused on retention, staffing, and where your school is losing ground on leads. It’s the first of two short sessions described on The Most Valuable Hour You Will Spend This Year — Grand Master Smith today, then a second call with Grand Master Oliver on pricing, marketing, and enrollment strategy.

What This Call Is About

A Real Diagnostic, Not a Sales Pitch

Grand Master Smith spent decades running his own seven-figure school chain before he started coaching owners full-time. On your call, he’ll go straight at the operational side of where your school is losing ground — the same four things we diagnose on every first call:

Retention

Where students are quietly walking out the back door, and what that’s actually costing you every month.

Staffing & Lead Flow

Bottlenecks in how your front desk and instructors handle leads, tours, and follow-up.

Student Value

Whether your programs and pricing are capturing what your instruction is actually worth.

Enrollment Ratios

How many leads and intros it really takes you to enroll one student — and where that ratio should be.

“Working with Stephen Oliver is like having a chance to train privately with Bruce Lee — don’t miss that opportunity.”

— Hai Nguyen, Elite MMA, Houston, TX

Come Prepared

What to Have Ready for Your Call

  • Your active student count. The number on your books right now, not a rounded guess.
  • This month’s revenue. Actual numbers, so Grand Master Smith can work from where you really are.
  • Your average membership price. What a student actually pays you per month, on average, across all your programs.
  • Your single biggest frustration. The one thing about your school that keeps you up at night — Grand Master Smith will go straight at it.
  • Block the full thirty minutes. This is a working session, not a quick intro call.

Ready to talk before your scheduled time? Call or text Bob Dunne right now at (720) 256-0208.

Questions Before Your Call

How long is the call with Grand Master Smith?+
Block off thirty minutes. This is a working diagnostic, not a quick intro — we’ll go through retention, staffing, lead flow, and where your school is leaving growth on the table.
What if I need to reschedule?+
Call or text our National Director, Bob Dunne, at (720) 256-0208 as soon as you know, and he’ll get you back on the calendar.
Is this really free?+
Yes. Both sessions — Grand Master Smith today and Grand Master Oliver next — are a free School Evaluation. There’s no charge and no obligation for either call.
What happens after this call?+
If Grand Master Smith sees real potential in your school, he’ll get you scheduled for your second call — thirty minutes with Grand Master Oliver on pricing, marketing, and enrollment strategy, and whether Martial Arts Wealth Mastery is the right fit going forward.
Should my spouse or business partner join?+
Yes, absolutely. We’d suggest that anyone directly involved in growing your business should be involved — clearly, your spouse or business partner should attend. To make any decisions about moving forward together, we require all decision makers to attend. Your full-time instructor, program director, manager, or anyone else key to your growth is certainly welcome to attend as well, and to review all the materials available. Share the materials, appointment time, and Zoom link with them.
Will this turn my academy into a McDojo?+
No. The goal is to build a stronger business without destroying the culture that makes your academy valuable. Better pricing, retention, and systems protect your mat culture — they don’t cheapen it. The McDojo Myth — learn more →
Are you a marketing agency?+
We’re not a narrowly focused agency placing an ad or two on Meta or Google — often creating a trickle or flood of flakey, low-converting, non-serious “opt-ins.” We create a “Parthenon of Marketing” that fills your school while installing Martial Arts Wealth’s complete business coaching and growth systems. Lead flow matters, but so do tuition structure, enrollment processes, student retention, staff development, renewals, leadership programs, and owner freedom. Read the full breakdown: Why Agencies Fail You →
What numbers can we go over on our evaluation meeting?+
Everyone on our team — including Grand Master Smith and Grand Master Oliver — is very numbers-driven. Ultimately, our goal for your school is to improve student quality and retention, and to broaden and make your marketing and enrollment processes more robust and effective.

What we’d love to see: leads by source; conversion % to appointment; conversion % to enrollment; conversion % to renewal; total revenue broken out by monthly billing, in-house tuition, and other revenue including retail sales; monthly attendance and monthly drop-out rate; average revenue per student/family on a monthly basis and on a “life-time” basis; and finally, profit & loss on a monthly and annual basis.

In reality, don’t share any information you’re uncomfortable with us having at this stage. We also recognize that most school owners don’t have accurate numbers for much of what we’d like to look at, so no worries — come with what you have available. Feel free to send as much information as you can ahead of your first or second meeting so we have time to review it.
Will you try to sell me something on the call?+
No hard pitch. You’ll get a real diagnosis and specific next steps. If we think ongoing coaching is a fit, we’ll say so plainly — and if it’s not, you keep the diagnosis anyway.
Who is this actually for?+
Any martial arts school, MMA gym, or BJJ academy owner serious about growing — whether you have 40 students or 400.
Do you work with BJJ and MMA gyms, or just traditional schools?+
All of the above. Traditional, BJJ, MMA, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, and everything in between — we’ve coached them all.

Set Expectations

What This Session Is Not

It is not a 90-minute slide deck ending in a hard close. It is not a form you fill out that gets handed to a stranger. And it is not a required financial disclosure before we’ll speak with you — you don’t submit bank statements, tax returns, or anything like it to schedule. You bring four numbers from memory and an honest read on where you’re stuck. We bring 100 combined years of pattern recognition across thousands of schools. That’s the whole exchange.

Real Numbers

Single-Location Schools Are Doing $1M, $1.5M, Even $2M a Year

Single schools. One owner, one building. Pulling 50% or more in pure profit — not multi-location chains, not franchises with venture money behind them. We’ve built these, coached them, and still coach many today. On your Growth Diagnostic, we hand you the same framework — retention, pricing, marketing, enrollment — that separates a $30,000-a-month school from a $150,000-a-month one, and you can start using it the same week your Zoom session wraps up.
